Penetration Testing
Real attacks, safely simulated. Evidence you can act on.
Human-led penetration testing across web applications, APIs, mobile apps and network infrastructure — combining manual exploitation with structured methodology to show what an attacker could actually achieve, and how to stop them.
The problems this solves
Sound familiar?
Automated scans miss what matters
Scanners flag volume, not impact. Business-logic flaws, chained exploits and authentication weaknesses need a human tester.
Reports that engineers cannot use
Generic findings without reproduction steps create friction. Your team needs evidence, not a CVE dump.
Compliance demands real testing
Customers, auditors and enterprise procurement teams increasingly ask for independent penetration test evidence.
Unknown exposure after every release
New features, integrations and infrastructure changes quietly expand your attack surface between tests.
What the engagement includes
In scope, in detail
- Web application penetration testing (OWASP Testing Guide aligned)
- API security testing — REST and GraphQL endpoints
- Mobile application testing (iOS and Android)
- External and internal network infrastructure testing
- Authentication, session management and access-control testing
- Manual exploitation within authorised boundaries, with full evidence capture
Systems & technologies
Aligned standards
Standards listed describe the frameworks our methodology aligns with — not certifications held by Softous Solutions.
How we deliver
A methodology you can hold us to
01
Scoping & authorisation
We agree objectives, boundaries, rules of engagement and success criteria in writing before any testing begins.
02
Reconnaissance & mapping
We map the attack surface the way an adversary would — entry points, trust boundaries, exposed services and data flows.
03
Exploitation & validation
Findings are manually exploited and validated within the authorised scope. Every claim carries reproducible evidence.
04
Reporting & remediation
You receive an executive summary, technical findings with business impact, and practical fixes — then a retest once you have remediated.
What you receive
- Executive risk summary for leadership
- Technical findings with severity, evidence and reproduction steps
- Business impact assessment for each finding
- Prioritised remediation roadmap
- Retest report confirming fixes
Common questions
FAQs
How long does a penetration test take?
A focused web application test typically runs one to two weeks. Larger scopes — multiple applications, APIs and infrastructure — are scoped individually. We agree the timeline with you before work begins.
Will testing disrupt our systems?
Testing is carefully controlled and agreed with you in advance. Potentially disruptive techniques are only used with explicit approval, and we coordinate around your operational windows.
What do we need to provide?
Typically: written authorisation, scope definition, test accounts where authenticated testing is required, and a technical contact. We handle the rest.
Do you retest after we fix issues?
Yes. A retest of remediated findings is included, so you can demonstrate to customers and auditors that issues were closed.
